How it's grown and processed
Farmers pick each cherry by hand across Uganda's highland regions — places like Mount Elgon, the Rwenzori Mountains, and West Nile. Most farms are small, family-run, and grow coffee alongside banana trees for shade.
After picking, the cherries are washed: the skin comes off, the beans sit in water to clean off the sticky layer underneath, then dry slowly in the sun. Washing is what gives this coffee its clean, bright cup.
We pay farmers more
We pay our farmers roughly 15–30% more than Uganda's average coffee price.

Uganda's two rainy seasons mean different highland regions harvest at different times of year, so we usually have fresh Washed Arabica available across most of the calendar — not just one tight harvest window. Ask us what's freshest right now.
