Privacy Policy

What information the website uses, why we use it, where it goes, and how to ask about it.

Plain-language guide. These pages explain our current practices. A signed coffee sales contract controls the commercial transaction and should be reviewed by the parties and their advisers.

1. Information you choose to provide

The contact and sample-request forms ask for business contact information such as your name, company, email address, optional phone number, country, coffee interest, volume, timing, and message. The forms currently prepare an email in your own email application. The website does not submit those form fields to a Nyaliko database.

If you send the email, Nyaliko receives and stores it through our business email provider. We may also receive information you send through WhatsApp, telephone, meetings, samples, quotes, or contracts.

2. Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider may process basic technical logs needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. We do not currently use advertising trackers or a website analytics product.

The Contact page contains a Google Maps embed. Loading that map may allow Google to receive technical information under its own privacy policy. You can contact us without using the map.

3. Why we use information

  • To answer enquiries and recommend an appropriate coffee or sample.
  • To prepare quotes, contracts, shipping documents, and customer records.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our business communications.
  • To meet accounting, trade, customs, regulatory, and legal obligations.
  • To prevent fraud, misuse, and threats to our systems or transactions.

4. When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is reasonably needed with service providers and transaction partners, such as email and hosting providers, accountants, banks, freight or customs partners, laboratories, warehouses, insurers, professional advisers, or authorities when required for an enquiry, order, legal obligation, or business protection.

Some providers may process information outside Alberta or Canada. Information in another country may be subject to that country’s laws.

5. Retention and safeguards

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, an active business relationship, record-keeping, dispute resolution, or legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no email or internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your choices and questions

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a concern by emailing ben.serunyigo@nyaliko.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law or a contract requires it.

Nyaliko’s privacy practices are designed around Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable to interprovincial or international commercial activity, Canada’s federal private-sector privacy rules.
